How do I get started?

Install the extension, open the sidebar, and select your preferred language. Then highlight text on a webpage to translate or explain it. No account or API key is required.

Do I need an account or API key?

No. Ninja Translate is ready to use after installation.

How is selected text handled?

Text or images you choose to translate are sent to our service and our AI provider to generate the result. Your settings and lookup history remain in Chrome's local storage. See the Privacy Policy for details.

The translation isn't showing up. What should I check?

Reload the page and reopen the sidebar, then try selecting the text again. Translation may not work on Chrome system pages or pages that block extensions. If the issue continues, email us with your Chrome version and the page URL.
